The timing bar

The RaceSplitter "timing bar" allows you to assign the same time to multiple racers — useful when timing groups of people arriving together.

Using the timing bar

Let’s imagine you see a group of three racers arriving together, and need to prepare to assign the same time to all three. RaceSplitter allows for this through the use of its “timing bar”.

After keying in a bib number, instead of tapping the “Record” button, tap the “+” sign instead. This will add the bib number to the “timing bar”. Repeat for any additional bibs you’ll need to time together.

Once multiple bib numbers are present on the timing bar, the “Record” button will change to “Record All” which, if tapped, will assign the same time to all the bibs.

Sub-selection timing

Now imagine you have five bibs on the timing bar but at the last minute, two of the racers pull ahead and will finish before the other three? To time just those two arriving bib, tap each one while they are on the timing bar. When tapped, each bib number will turn from blue to orange. At this point, tapping “Record All” will assign the same time to all the selected bibs, and leave the remaining ones on the timing bar.
