The VIII Edition of the Calamorro Trail Running Race took place on Sunday 21st of February 2016 in the mountains of Benalmádena.
This exceptional event is organized by the RaceSplitter-sponsored team Grupo Alpino Benalmadena-Irontriath.
The event was timed with RaceSplitter as they have been doing for all their events in the last few years.
There were almost 600 participants for the 16km course and 1100 meter accumulated climb and 11 participants int he Junior category for under-20 which ran the 12km and 700 meter accumulated climb.

Matt Henderson, from RaceSplitter, took part in this race for the first time. He was excited to be a participant and experience the great atmosphere within this wonderful team. He also enjoyed the beautiful, yet hard itinerary where the runners had great views of the ocean and the whole range of mountains around Benalmádena.
