The third edition of the Sierra Blanca Trail Running Race in Marbella, Spain, took place on 13th of February 2016.
In this edition, there were three distances that the participants could choose from.
The fist ones to start, at 8:00am, were the participants of the 41km and 2875m of accumulated climbing, a very demanding route that took the runners through the best trails around the mountains in Marbella and Ojén.
An hour later, the participants of the 28km loop and 1850m of accumulated climb started, with much of the trail common to the marathon race.
Finally, for the participants who just wanted a morning out enjoying a nice run/walk, the organization had prepared a 13km route going from Marbella to Ojén with 900m accumulated climb.
Many runners from the Grupo Alpino Benalmádena-Irontriath, team sponsored by RaceSplitter, participated. They all really enjoyed the various areas of the race……and they obtained great results. In the 27 km race, the first three places were occupied by members of the team.
